Home Maintenance Inspections

A home maintenance inspection is basically a check-up for your home.  Most people don't get their home inspected unless they are putting it up for sale.  Why?  Isn't it more important to know the state of your home while you're living in it.  A home maintenance inspection can help you maintain the integrity and condition of your home and insure that it won't suddenly start to fall apart around you.  As home owners we all have questions about our homes, such as what's not working and why?  That's what a maintenance inspection is good for.  Houses are just like everything else we own and they need maintenance.  Most people take the time to change the oil in their cars but very few homeowners hire a professional to take a look and make sure that everything is in good shape with their home.  On average a home maintenance inspection should be performed every two years to detect the issues that will cost you money if left undetected for a long period of time.  CORE Home Inspections will perform a detailed maintenance inspection or your home that will give you some insight of conditions of your home and their amenities.  It's very easy to not notice your home slowly erode around you.  As busy as we all are these days with work and other obligations, it's very common to not even have a chance to give your home the once-over it deserves to check for tall tail signs of trouble.  CORE Home Inspections knows what to look for and will talk to you about the condition of your home and will also summarize findings in a detailed report.  We will address all things that may need to be repaired or maintained to help keep your home from possibly loosing value.

Some inspection areas of concern are:

  • Roof
  • Electrical Systems
  • Plumbing
  • Exterior walls
  • Interior
  • Heating and A/C systems
  • Attic(s)
  • Doors and Windows
  • Appliances
  • Safety concerns

A detailed list of observed conditions and digital photos will be provided to you via e-mail within 24 hours of the inspection.  We suggest your presence so you may gain important maintenance information and tips about your home and to ask any questions that you may have.  This does not take preference over a full home inspection and is just informative.

A home maintenance inspection fee is based on the square footage of the home and may take between an hour to two hours for an average size home.  Please go to our scheduling page to schedule or send an e-mail with questions about your home maintenance inspection.
